Lynyrd Skynyrd Drummer Robert Burns Jr. Dead at 64

Pictured third from right

Robert Burns Jr., the original drummer of Southern rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died. Billboard reports that he was killed in a car crash last night in Georgia. He was 64.

Burns was one of the founding members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and played with the band on their first two albums, 1973's (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) and 1974's Second Helping. He played on the recordings of some of the band's most iconic songs, including "Free Bird", "Sweet Home Alabama", "Gimme Three Steps", and "Simple Man". He left the band in 1974.

Gary Rossington, the founding guitarist of the band, wrote on Facebook:

Well, today I'm at a loss for words, but I just remember Bob being a funny guy. He was just so funny, he used to do skits for us and make us laugh all the time, he was hilarious! ... My heart goes out to his family and God bless him and them in this sad time. He was a great great drummer.

Lykke Li Broods in the "Never Gonna Love Again" Video

Lykke Li has shared the video for "Never Gonna Love Again", from last year's I Never Learn. Directed by Philippe Tempelman, it begins with the Swedish singer brooding in the back of a car before a dramatic turn of events turns it into a performance video. Check it out below, via Rolling Stone.

"Loneliness and heartbreak follow you everywhere and they are loudest right after the lights go out and the crowds quiet," she told Rolling Stone. "Here's an intimate glimpse of how it can be to live your dream whilst stuck in your dream. In the lonely wolf hour, the night becomes your stage, the stars your audience, the rain your memories."

The movie does not yet have a name. It'll mark the feature film debut of Nabil Elderkin, who's directed music videos for Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Antony and more. Legend, who recently won the Oscar for Best Original Song along with Common, will oversee the music.

Miguel is also currently working on his new album, reportedly titled Wild Heart.

Frank Ocean Announces New Record

The long-awaited follow-up to Frank Ocean's Channel Orange is apparently coming very soon. Today, Ocean shared the above photo on his website with the words "I got two versions" and three hashtags that seem to imply that his third album is called Boys Don't Cry and is out this July.

Update: A rep for Ocean confirmed to Billboard that both a new publication by Ocean and a new album are coming in July. There's no title for either just yet.

Reports from the album's sessions hinted that Ocean was working with Hit-Boy ("Niggas in Paris", Drake, Nicki Minaj), Rodney Jerkins (Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child), Happy Perez, Charlie Gambetta, and Kevin Ristro. It could include "Memrise".

In the period since Channel Orange was released, Ocean has been busy. He performed at the Grammys. He won a Grammy. He appeared on Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. He appeared on John Mayer's Paradise Valley. Hit-Boy also recently shared a snippet of a Frank Ocean-featuring Nas song called "No Such Thing As White Jesus", which came after Converse dropped a song called "Hero"
